Online FDEM training course

Irazu-UI-blast-n-cave

While we were supposed to exhibit at the 54th US Rock Mechanics / Geomechanics Symposium (ARMA 2020) and Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC 2020), the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled these events. We hope that the pandemic will be under control and we will be back on the road in 2021. In the meantime, we will be running an online training course on “2D and 3D modeling of rock fracturing processes in geomechanics“, similar to our course at ARMA. This hands-on short course consists of two half-day sessions offered on the mornings (9 am – 1 pm Eastern Time) of October 7 and 8, 2020.

The course covers:

  • Numerical modeling of complex, non-linear, coupled rock engineering problems
  • Simulation of rock fracture and fragmentation in 2D and 3D
  • Advanced features, including Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) modelling and rock support
  • Fundamental principles of the state-of-the-art Irazu finite-discrete element software
  • Hands-on Irazu tutorials

You will also get a free full-featured demo version of Geomechanica’s flagship Irazu software! To register for this course please fill out the form below. If you reside in Canada and would like to pay in Canadian dollars, please email us at info@geomechanica.com to get alternative payment options.
